2017-2018 RISE RAs

Read below to meet the Resident Assistants for the RISE floors in Bailey Hall for the 2017-2018 academic year!

Marie Clark

Marie Clark, RISE RA

Hey RISErs! My name is Marie Clark and I’m the second floor women’s RA in Bailey for the 2017-2018 academic year. I’m a junior studying Kinesiology with minors in Environmental Sustainability and Educational Studies. Within RISE, I co-lead and write for the Sustainable Stories Blog, volunteer out in the greenhouse, and work with Heather often on recruitment of future students. When I’m not in Bailey, I’m probably at the dance studio for work or class/ rehearsal, doing something active with CHAARG or Club Gymnastics, taking a stroll with my camera, or studying and hanging out with my professional kinesiology fraternity, Phi Epsilon Kappa. I’m excited to have you all here and get to know each of you. I’m here for anything you want to talk about. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me for anything! Contact me at clarkm64@msu.edu

Kieran Maloney

Kieran Maloney, RISE RA

Hello Future RISEers! My name is Kieran Maloney and I will be one of the Resident Assistants in Bailey Hall for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. I’m thrilled to be spending another year in the RISE community because it allows me to be close to mushroom team, Aura cosmetics, cooking workshops, and the Sustainable Stories blog that I’ve been heavily involved in this past year. Outside of RISE activities, you can find me in the dance studio, baking treats in the 3rd floor kitchen, or out and about with friends. Please reach out with any questions, no matter how silly they may seem, I promise I probably asked sillier ones when I was getting ready for freshman year. See you in the fall!

Alex Marx

Alex Marx, RISE RA

My name is Alex Marx and I’m excited to get to know you all. I’ll be the RA on the second-floor B wing this fall and look forward to chillin’ with everyone. I have been a jack of all trades throughout my first two years of RISE. I work with the bees, composting, vermicomposting, farming, pigs, mentoring, and overall sustainability. Currently, most of my time is going towards running a student business that sells agriculture products, called Land Grant Goods (facebook.com/landgrantgoods). I also help manage a lot of the RISE social media pages and the RISE snapchat. If any of you are interested in helping with social media, help would be much appreciated!
